Nokia Lumia Series to Reach India in Week’s Time

The launch of Lumia series is way more than just smartphones for the Finnish mobile major Nokia. They take it as a source which would make them achieve the top position in the smartphone segment across the globe.
Two phones that would be launched within a few days across the globe, including India, are Lumia 800 and Lumia 710. Both the products have been made in association with Microsoft. Lumia 800 would be available for Rs 29,999 and Lumia 710 could be bought for Rs 19,999.
Nokia's India Director Vipul Mehrotra affirmed that both the sets have been shipped from Europe and would soon be available in India. He further said that they would not go for pre-bookings and would directly start its sales from next week, probably, as they expect both the phones to reach India by that time.
There are about 5,000 retailers who would sell the phones. To tell about some of their specifications: Nokia Lumia 800 is one of the high-end products ever launched by Nokia. It would have an 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash. It will host 512 MB programme memory.
Now coming to Lumia 710, it has a 5-megapixel camera with 8 GB internal user memory and 512 MB RAM. The camera supports single LED flash. One thing that would be common among both the phones, except the fact that both of them are touchscreen handsets, is they would run on Windows Phone 7.5 'Mango Operating System'.
Where both the phones would be available in India within next seven days, it would take about a month for other countries to grab these phones. In India, it has decided not to take pre-bookings but in other places, it has been reported that its pre-bookings are going on at their flagship stores.
